EMEP Data

The UNECE/EMEP emission database WebDab has been constructed in purpose to facilitate the access to the emission data reported to the Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP) on Main Pollutants, Heavy Metals and Persistent Organic Pollutants.

Information on the activity levels, emission factors, emission control options and their related costs used in the CIAM RAINS integrated assessment model is available from the RAINS databases. The data currently provided were prepared within the framework of the UNECE Gothenburg Protocol and the EU NEC Directive negotiations.

Modelled data of concentrations in air and depositions of Main Pollutants, Aerosols(PMs), Heavy Metals and Persistent Organic Pollutants calculated by EMEP models is downloadable. One can find yearly data for the whole EMEP grid and trend data.

Data for source-receptor relationships reported this year is available both as country data for the whole EMEP grid and country-to-country overview matrices.

The measurement and some modelled data are available for EMEP stations. Measurement data are found from 1977 and modelled data are found from 1985 to 1996 at the website of EMEP/CCC.

2D and 3D Trajectory data are available for EMEP stations. The 2D trajectory data available from EMEP/MSC-W are calculated 96h trajectories, daily sector values and trajectory crossings for the years 1985 to 2004. At the website of EMEP/CCC you can find 3D trajectory data calculated by the air mass trajectory model, FLEXTRA.

Detailed description and map of the EMEP 50x50km^2 grid and the EMEP 150x150km^2 grid. In addition, there are text files defining the fraction (in percent) of grid cells belonging to a particular country and linkage of EMEP ISO codes to EMEP country codes and country names.
