The main tasks of the Chemical Coordinating Centre of EMEP, CCC, is to coordinate the measurement programme of EMEP which includes measurements of acidifying and eutrophying compounds, ozone, heavy metals, persistent organic pollutants, particulate matter and VOC.
One of the main tasks of the Meteorological Synthesizing Centre - West of EMEP, MSC-W, is to model transboundary fluxes of acidifying and eutrophying air pollution, photochemical oxidants and particulate matter. But another important task of the MSC-W is to coordinate the emission programme of EMEP which includes emission data of acidfying and eutrophying pollutants, ozone, VOC, heavy metals, persistent organic pollutants and particulate matter.
To model transboundary fluxes of heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants is one of the main tasks of the Meteorological Synthesizing Centre - East of EMEP, MSC-E.
Information on the activity levels, emission factors, emission control options and their related costs used in the CIAM RAINS integrated assessment model is made available by the Center of Integrated Assessment Modelling, CIAM.
